Kamera, Europe´s leading provider of Internet TV, today announced it has acquired new football rights for the Internet. Through an agreement with MP Web (Media Partners Group), Kamera has secured online rights for the UK, for the Italian Soccer Championship 2001/2002 season.

This latest deal marks an extension of the relationship with Kamera and MP Web. Kamera already has Scandinavian Internet rights for the Italian Soccer.

The new contract sees highlights of all the home matches played by the Italian Soccer teams under contract with MP Web, including Milan, Inter, Parma, Genoa and Verona, now available to UK fans on line.

Kamera has also secured UK video on demand (VOD) rights for all these football matches.

‘We are very excited to be able to offer highlights and full on-demand match coverage from one of the best leagues in the world to a UK audience,’ said Kim Bernhard, UK Head of Sport.

‘Italian Seria A is as high a quality product as the Premier League and is a very strong brand in the European market.’
