Right on time for the kick-off of the new Bundesliga football season in Germany, FC Augsburg presents its new jersey sponsor, Jack Wolfskin. Headquartered in Idstein/Taunus, Germany, the company has been in the business of manufacturing functional outdoor, recreational and travel clothing, equipment and shoes since 1981. Coach Rainer Hörgl’s squad will don the new Jack Wolfskin logo on its jerseys right from the start of the season, which gets underway for the club Monday.

Manfred Hell, managing director of Jack Wolfskin, says, “FC Augsburg’s impressive sporting development speaks for itself. We are confident that we and the club can continue along this path, and we look forward to exciting football at the Rosenau Stadium.”

The club itself and the people at SPORTFIVE, the agency responsible for marketing FC Augsburg, are likewise exceptionally pleased about the deal. “We are extremely happy,” commented Walther Seinsch, chief executive of FC Augsburg, “to be able to present Jack Wolfskin as our new main sponsor. Jack Wolfskin is a first-rate sporting brand which is ideally suited to our club.”

“We are very pleased to have been able to turn the success FC Augsburg has recently enjoyed on the pitch into marketing success,” says Thomas Röttgermann, Managing Director of SPORTFIVE GmbH & Co. KG. “With Jack Wolfskin, we have won one of the most renowned international outdoor brands as our new main sponsor. Thus, the club has a strong partner at its side.”

In addition to jersey sponsoring, the package developed by SPORTFIVE ensures Jack Wolfskin a lot of TV presence as well as extensive other advertising and PR measures in connection with this traditional Bavarian football club – from its logo on the team bus to promotion campaigns, field-side advertising in view of television cameras and exclusive advertising in the form of so-called cam carpets in immediate proximity of the goal area. The package is rounded off by VIP ticket allocations, a variety of special events as well as promotional representation in the club media.
