Valencia, 02 May 2006 – Three of the licensees for the 32nd America’s Cup have come up with some inspired collections of products as diverse as a limited edition vase designed by Javier Mariscal and made by Lalique to an exclusive gold fountain pen by Montegrappa.
Lalique’s America’s Cup collection consists of pieces designed by Javier Mariscal, the famous Spanish designer responsible for the graphic identity of the 32nd America’s Cup. In addition to the limited edition vase, there’s a crystal lamp and a 32nd America’s Cup key chain.
Montegrappa, the Italian pen maker has created a special ‘Fleet Race’ limited edition; a stunning collection of 2 887 pieces, including 1 851 silver fountain pens (commemorating the first race around the Isle of Wight in 1851), 800 silver rollerballs (the average number of square metres of a competitors sail area), 204 gold fountain pens (12 yachts by 17 crew) and 32 gold rollerballs – for the 32nd America’s Cup.
