Zug, Switzerland, 2 November 2004: Infront Sports & Media has announced an exclusive agreement with OTI (Organización de Telecomunicaciones Iberoamericanas) for the broadcast rights to the 2006 FIFA World Cup in key markets across Central and South America. This deal marks the completion of 2006 FIFA World Cup agreements across Central and South America.
OTI, the most powerful television organisation in the region, represents a large number of Spanish language broadcasters from more than 20 nations, primarily in Central and South America. The agreement between Infront and OTI covers 15 specific territories. These are:
• Mexico
• Argentina
• Chile
• Colombia
• Costa Rica
• Ecuador
• El Salvador
• Guatemala
• Honduras
• Nicaragua
• Panama
• Paraguay
• Peru
• Uruguay
• Venezuela
In addition to this agreement, separate broadcast rights agreements have also been made by Infront in Central and South America with TV Globo and DirecTV.

A recent series of deals, including this one, means that the picture of the broadcast coverage for 2006 is almost complete. Infront has signed 176 deals covering 82% of the territories in the world. Europe is virtually finalised and South and Central America is entirely complete.
