Stockholm: Manchester United Football Club has exclusively appointed the international sports television agency, IEC in Sports, to distribute the broadcast media rights for their upcoming Asian Tour games on a worldwide basis, excluding UK and Ireland.

The 2008/9 Barclays English Premier League Champions will play in the following four matches:

July 18th : in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia vs. a Malaysia X1

July 20th : in Jakarta, Indonesia vs. an Indonesian X1

July 24th : in Seoul, Korea vs. F.C. Seoul

July 26th : in Hangzhou, China vs. Zhejiang Greentown F.C

“This year’s pre-season tour of Asia promises to provide the squad with the ideal preparation ahead of another exciting campaign. It is also a great opportunity for our dedicated fans in Asia to see the team in action.” said David Gill, Chief Executive of Manchester United Football Club.

“IEC already handled the 2007 MU Tour and looks forward to ensuring a world class production will be available for all matches, delivered to a global television audience.” added Persson. As part of the appointment, IEC take on the role of television coordinators, representing all international production and transmission requirements of the Club for the 2009 Asian Tour.
