IEC in Sports Signs Rights to Hong Kong Soccer’s Carlsberg Cup

Asia’s longest running national team soccer tournament, the Carlsberg Cup will be broadcast in territories worldwide in 2002.

Rightsholder KAM Sports International has appointed IEC in Sports to sell TV rights and create a global platform for the event that takes place on February 12 and 15th.

World Cup first timers China will be the star attraction alongside Slovenia, Hong Kong and FIFA Team of the Year Honduras.

IEC has already concluded a cash for rights deal with CCTV to broadcast matches live to an anticipated 50 million households on the mainland. China coach Bora Milutinovic has confirmed a full strength squad for the tournament.
