IEC in Sports has secured TV rights to all international athletics events in the UK for TV distribution deals in Asia (excl Japan), Middle East, Australia and selected territories in Europe.

The deal includes the Super Grand Prix meetings in Crystal Palace and Gateshead.

– We are happy to be able to include these events and the other UK meetings in our programming portfolio, says Jonas Persson, CEO of IEC in Sports.

The UK athletics package has been part of IEC`s programming and athletics portfolio since 1999 and will be so for a further three-year-period.

The deal was agreed between IEC in Sports and BBC Wordwide. It is BBC that is producing the events for both a domestic and an international TV audience

IEC is representing a package of 20 indoor and outdoor athletics events on a yearly basis.
