IEC in Sports has signed a distribution agreement with Turner Broadcasting for the 2001 Goodwill Games being held August 29 to September 9 in Brisbane, Australia. TNT, with a television production budget of USD 20 million for
the Goodwill Games, will produce live coverage of 13 disciplines.

Athletes from all over the world compete in this international Olympic style multi-sport competition. Top stars to look for in the Goodwill Games include Maurice Green, Marion Jones, Michael Klim, Ian Thorpe and first class boxers from Cuba and Russia.

The USA basketball team will face competition from Australia, Brazil, Argentina, Puerto Rico and Canada. In the gymnastic event Chinese top stars are competing against the Olympic gold medellists from Russia, USA, Romania etc.

– IEC will assist Turner Broadcasting with distribution agreements in selected territories on three continents.
