The Anschutz Entertainment Group is delighted to announce that Christopher Reynolds has been hired as director of Hockey Operations starting on March 1st, 2001. Christopher will help co-ordinate between the teams and the Los Angeles hockey based operations, to further streamline and increase the effectiveness of AEG’s Hockey Operations in Europe.

Reporting to MD Detlef Kornett in Europe and effectively to Dave Taylor in LA, this will ensure the continuous process of improving the level of play of the teams, the coaching and all other aspects of hockey operations.

Looking back, Christopher has had a successful career as Sport Development Manager with the IIHF and as a coach in Switzerland, Austria and Russia. Prior to this, Canadian born Chris played ice hockey for Fife Flyers for the 1980/81 season and spent the following season also with the Flyers as coach.

Detlef says, ‘I am thrilled that Christopher will be joining AEG. With our hockey involvement in Europe growing at such a fast rate, I felt it is the right time to bring someone in to nurture and further develop our product. Christopher has the background and knowledge of ice hockey to take us into the next phase of our business plans. He will be a tremendous asset.’

Christopher adds, ‘For me to join an organisation such as AEG is a pleasure and an honour. To be working within the Group and with the clubs is a task that I will relish. I very much look forward to the challenge that lies ahead.’
