The selection panel for the inaugural ICC Super Series will be announced on Wednesday, 2 February 2005 at the Telstra Dome in Melbourne.

ICC Chief Executive, Malcolm Speed, will name the international panel of cricket greats who will choose the ICC World XI teams to take on Australia in October.

The ICC will also announce ticketing information for three-match, one-day series on 5, 7, and 9 October 2005 at the Telstra Dome in Melbourne and the one-off, six-day Super Test at the Sydney Cricket Ground from 14-19 October, 2005.

One of the game’s greatest players and Chairman of the ICC World XI selection panel will be at the announcement and available to the media along with a number of members of the Australian cricket team including Ricky Ponting (captain), Glenn McGrath, and Michael Clarke.

Australia is confirmed as the team to take on the ICC World XI in the Super Test and should seal its place in the one-day matches if it wins the VB Series this week.
