Presentation of Red Bull Racing Moved to Melbourne

The new management line-up at the Red Bull Racing Team was completed today with Günther Steiner officially confirmed as the team’s Technical Director.

This follows the announcement last week that Britain’s Christian Horner, 31, had accepted the post of Sporting Director of Red Bull Racing.  Steiner, 39, from Italy’s South Tyrol region joins Horner from his previous post as Technical Director of Opel Motorsport (OPC).

The first joint decision by the young management duo involves the official presentation of the 2005 car. Due to the major changes that have taken place at the team over the last few months, and with an awareness of the pressures involved in preparing for the
start of the season, the decision has been taken to postpone the launch, due to take place in Jerez on February 7.  Red Bull Racing will now hold their official car launch at the start of the season in Melbourne in March.

Sporting Director Horner said: “We’re in a phase of restructuring and want to take advantage of every available day to prepare for our first year. We are concentrating all our efforts on creating the conditions we need for our young team to get off to an optimal start this season.
