Rugby Expo has today announced a new partnership with Guinness PRO12, the organisation responsible for the leading professional clubs from Ireland, Wales, Scotland and Italy which has confirmed the attendance of senior commercial representatives from the league and all 12 clubs at Rugby Expo 2014.

Returning to Twickenham for the fourth consecutive year, Rugby Expo 2014 will host the quarterly commercial meeting for the commercial directors of all the Guinness PRO12 clubs for the first time. Staff from PRO12 will also be supporting the event, with a number of the organisation’s senior management team in attendance and plans to take part in the conference programme.

Confirmation of the partnership is one of a series of exciting upcoming announcements for Rugby Expo; the attendance of all 12 Aviva Premiership clubs has already been confirmed, thanks to an extension of the partnership between Rugby Expo and Premiership Rugby, as the event continues to confirm its plans with the key organisations responsible for developing the sport and builds on its reputation as the meeting place for the business of club rugby.

Charlie McEwen, commercial director at PRO12 Rugby, said: “We are really pleased to be utilising Rugby Expo for our upcoming commercial meeting and to support all the clubs in attending the event and awards dinner. I have attended the event before, as have many Guinness PRO12 clubs but to have agreed the partnership with the event to confirm our full attendance will ensure all the clubs benefit from the discussion, debate and networking at Rugby Expo.”

Commenting on the new agreement, John Hockey, chairman of Rugby Ventures said, “It is fantastic to be able to confirm the new partnership with Guinness PRO12 and the clubs and in doing so confirm their attendance at this year’s Rugby Expo.

The event is designed for those responsible for driving the growth and success of club rugby and to ensure the attendance of all the PRO12 clubs is further proof of the event’s determination to work with as many of the key stakeholders as we are able, to deliver an event the sport actively connects with and sees the value it provides.”

Taking place at Twickenham on Wednesday 22 – Thursday 23 October, Rugby Expo 2014 will include a detailed conference programme comprising main stage plenary sessions, summits and workshops alongside a live exhibition showcasing the latest products and innovations in the sport.

Following the success of previous years, the two day event will switch its focus from the professional game on day one to grass roots rugby and development on day two.
