The organisers of the Evian Masters today announced a three-year partnership with UBS Private Banking into the International Evian Masters Sponsor’s Club.
UBS, one of the World leaders in banking will join Evian, Lacoste and Rolex as primary sponsors for the tournament, held this year from Wednesday June 12th through to Saturday June 15th at Evian Haute-Savoie on the French shore of Lake Geneva.
The Evian Masters, coined as the ‘Masters’ of Women’s Golf, offers a $US 2.1 million prizefund this year to the top players from the Evian Ladies European Tour and the LPGA.
The finest women golfers in the World are expected to attend the event including World number one Annika Sorenstam from Sweden, England’s Laura Davies and defending champion Rachel Teske from Australia, who beat Sweden’s Maria Hjorth after a tense battle on the final day.
In addition, please note, the Evian Masters is due to change its dates in 2003 from it’s normal slot in June to July 23-26, the week before the Weetabix Women’s British Open at Royal Lytham and St Annes on the Lancashire coastline.
