The South African wine brand Goiya has signed a two-year agreement to become the exclusive wine sponsor across English cricket’s seven Test Match Grounds (TMGs).

The agreement between Raisin-Social, the UK’s leading importer of South African wine, and Frontiers Group UK (FGUK) is an extension to Goiya’s successful sponsorship across last Summer coinciding with the South African cricket tour to England.

Raisin-Social’s Director, Patrick Halliday, commented: ‘The South African cricket tour last year was an ideal vehicle for us to promote the Goiya brand in the UK; however, so successful was the sponsorship that it was a natural progression for us to extend the relationship for a further two seasons.’

Last summer there was nearly 800 hours of cricket coverage on Channel 4 and Sky Sports; with an affluent and up market audience, cricket is the perfect match for Goiya.

As part of a £500,000 investment, Goiya will be have a major branded presence at each of the TMGs including all domestic and International cricket up to and including The Ashes in 2005. In addition, Goiya will be served at each of the TMGs.

As part of the agreement, Frontiers Group UK will work exclusively on behalf of Raisin-Social on their cricket programme. Frontiers Group UK is the exclusive commercial partner to all the Test Match Grounds in England.
