Global Sports Week Paris has opened sales for the first-ever GSWMarketplace – a new addition for 2021, which offers businesses and organisations of every size a presence at the ‘rendez-vous’ of the year for the world sports economy.

While the second Global Sports Week is set to take place in a hybrid format, mixing digital and physical events in Paris and five key cities worldwide, the GSWMarketplace will be a 100% virtual experience.

The immersive space, which will be fully integrated within the new Global Sports Week digital platform, is designed to offer firms a guaranteed showcase in a context where many traditional sports conventions have been unable to take place this year.

A first-of-its-kind for a sports convention, the GSWMarketplace is made up of fully customisable interactive booths, designed to replicate the real-world experience as far as possible.

Exhibitors will be able to showcase their products and services in unique and engaging ways; schedule meetings with prospects; and hold video conversations with ‘walk-up’ visitors.

The GSWMarketplace will be open to a broad cross-section of sports decision-makers, influencers and media. Access will be free to all who register, as part of Global Sports Week’s freemium ticketing model for 2021.

Exhibitor packages start at 2,000 Euros (net) and include digital event passes, targeted leads and cutting-edge analytics to maximise and measure the business impact of a firm’s investment.

Anna Fedou, Deputy Managing Director of Global Sports Week explained: “We’re really excited about this brand new feature, which we hope will serve those smaller and medium-sized businesses that have missed the usual trade fair opportunities this year.

“Global Sports Week will be much more open in its second edition, and part of that is about giving a presence to all those businesses – from law firms to marketing agencies; retailers to venue supplies – that play such a crucial role in the sports ecosystem.”

Global Sports Week will return from February 1st-5th, following the landmark inaugural edition last February, which attracted 2,000 delegates from 70 countries, including 250 investors and 130 international media.

Held under the patronage of Mr Emmanuel Macron, President of the French Republic, Global Sports Week Paris will be staged annually as France gears up to host events including the 2023 Rugby World Cup and Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
