The global sponsorship and marketing directors of some of the biggest companies in the world will be brought together for the first time at the 2006 Motor Sport Business Forum.

The two-day conference and exhibition, which takes place in Monaco from December 6 2006, will welcome top executives from financial giants RBS and Allianz, fuel group Total, computer firms Intel and SAP, and beverages company Diageo. These six companies alone represent over $350 billion in annual turnover.

All will take an active role in the conference. Marty Olivero, Intel’s director of global sponsorship, will talk about the global activation of a Formula One deal. Sean Jefferson, Diageo’s global sponsorship director, will speak about how to leverage sponsorship in the sport.

RBS’s head of sponsorship David Webb will offer a comparison between his company’s deals in Formula One and golf. Denis Marcel, competition director for the Total Group, will talk about the sponsorship value gained from the supplier relationship in Formula One.

These speakers will be joined at the conference by F1 team principals, leading sponsorship agents and circuit bosses. Also present will be representatives from the sport’s governing body Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile, and  commercial rights-holder Formula One Management.

The Motor Sport Business Forum is the must-attend event for motor sport’s global commercial community. It offers a unique opportunity to hear about new ideas, discuss sponsorship initiatives, debate current issues, network, and negotiate deals. It is an event that no professional involved in the sport can afford to miss.

This year’s Forum will take place on 6-7 December 2006 to coincide with the FIA Gala Awards Dinner.

There are still a limited number of early booking discounted passes available. There are also a limited number of discounted rooms available at Le Meridian Beach Plaza hotel, a short walk from the Grimaldi Forum. These can be booked through the Motor Sport Business Forum.
