ISL Worldwide is pleased to welcome Glen Kirton as the new Head of Football as of 1 April, 2001 after he has agreed to return to the ISMM Group. Glen Kirton is replacing Philippe Margraff who has decided to leave the company to pursue new opportunities. Glen will move to the headquarters in Zug, Switzerland and will become a member of the ISMM Executive Committee whilst also taking on a position on the ISMM Group Management Board.

Glen Kirton is a familiar face to ISL Worldwide after already having spent four years as Managing Director Football and Head of the Event Marketing Division until April 2000. His major achievements during this time included the successful delivery of the 1998 FIFA World Cup. He will now be responsible for further developing the company’s global football business coordinating and handling all international football events particularly during the preparations for the 2002 FIFA World Cup Korea/Japan™.

Glen Kirton has immense experience in the football business after spending 25 years at the Football Association, England (FA) first in charge of the FA’s PR office and later as Head of External Affairs. His expertise came into the spotlight during his time as Tournament Director for the UEFA European Football Championship in 1996 (EURO 96) where he successfully handled all sides of the event from the FA’s initial bid to host the competition to assembling and managing the team that organised the Championship on behalf of UEFA. After an interim period spearheading the business development of leading British sports marketing and PR agency Craigie Taylor International, Glen has decided to bring his skills and experience back to the ISMM Group.

Commenting upon Glen’s return, Daniel Beauvois, ISMM Group Chief Executive Officer, said: ‘We are particularly proud to welcome back Glen into the ISMM Group. He is a highly respected and admired figure in the world of sports marketing with an outstanding track record in the development of the business of football.’

Glen Kirton commented: ‘I am delighted to be rejoining ISL Worldwide at an exciting time in the history of this great company. I look forward to the challenges ahead and particularly to renewing acquaintances with so many old friends.’

It is with great regret that the company has to announce the departure of Philippe Margraff who has decided to pursue new opportunities outside of ISL Worldwide. We would like to thank Philippe for his dedication and loyalty to the ISMM Group during the past six years with the company.

Philippe has contributed greatly to the success of the business in his various roles as Associate General Counsel, Head of Business Affairs, Football and during the past year as Managing Director, Head of Football. Philippe has played a major role in developing the collaboration with FIFA, UEFA, CAF, the Local Organising Committees and the Official Partners and Suppliers of the respective international football tournaments. His achievements culminated with the successful management of the marketing programme of last year’s EURO 2000™ in Belgium and The Netherlands.
