Glasgow Rangers Launches Online Betting Service
With a summer of sport ahead and the new season only weeks away, Rangers has launched a new online betting service on the club’s official website today.
‘Blues Betting’ is specifically tailored for Rangers fans and will be amongst the UK’s most comprehensive and wide-ranging of betting services. The three year deal with UK online football betting leader Bet365, was negotiated by the club’s joint venture partner, Premium TV, a subsidiary of NTL.
Nick Peel, Retail Director at Rangers said:
‘Rangers fans from all over the world can now bet on the official site and win or lose, they will be helping the club by doing so. An online betting service is an important part of any club’s service to its fans and in this product our fans have the marker leader. We hope that those fans looking to have a wager on sporting events over the summer will log onto www.rangers.co.uk to do it.’
Steve Freeth, spokesman for Bet 365 said:
‘We’re looking forward to a great partnership with PTV and Rangers and to kick things off, we’re offering Rangers fans 6/4 on Rangers winning the SPL title, the best odds currently available in the UK – but fans will need to be quick as this price may not stay around long, with the current uncertainty over a certain managerial position in the SPL!’
Rangers has also been priced up at 40/1 to repeat its triumph of 1972 in the coming season’s UEFA Cup. Rangers will be tempting fans to have a flutter on the final week at Wimbledon with a with a special introductory launch offer that includes a free £20 treble bet*. Fans need only register on www.rangers.co.uk to take advantage of the special introductory offer.
While fans can bet online from launch, the new service will soon enable them to do so over the phone – and all through one account. In addition to the fixed odds service the club will also be launching a product called Casino 365, so all tastes will be catered for.
