Scottish Rugby has secured a second three year deal with leading mobile phone supplier Genesis Communications.
The deal will provide some 75 mobile phones and line rental for SRU staff and Rugby Development Officers, while, in return, Genesis will receive a package of trackside signage, hospitality, player appearances and advertising in SRU publications.
Scottish Rugby’s sponsorship manager David James said: ‘The mobile phone is an essential tool for most SRU staff and it was important that we agreed a deal with a company who could provide us with the range of services and flexibility that we required.
‘This new deal has seen a significant reduction in our tariffs and general costs, making the deal worth well into five figures. Genesis have proved to be enthusiastic supporters of the game in Scotland and I am delighted that they wanted to extend their previous three year deal.’
Brad Whatmough, Genesis Communications marketing director, said: ‘Genesis Communications, as the market leader for business-to-business mobile communications services, are delighted to continue our association with the Scottish Rugby Union. We wish the Scotland team every success in the forthcoming RBS 6 Nations Championship!’
Scotland player Stuart Grimes helped launch the deal at a photocall at Murrayfield today. Should you require a picture from the launch please contact SRU photographer Gordon Fraser (07778 785568).
