Future Sponsorship 09 is taking great shape and the steering group responsible for organising the event would like to inform you of the great speaker line up and cost savings that will make this year’s conference the best yet.

As you may know we are moving to the wonderful May Fair Hotel, in the heart of London’s West End and we are looking forward to greeting both familiar faces and new delegates on Wednesday 25 and Thursday 26 November to what is firmly established as Europe’s leading conference for people who are serious about sponsorship.

During the past few months we have spoken to lots of past delegates and the overwhelming opinion was that it is time for a change of host city and that London was the favoured choice. Not only is London a major European hub renowned for being a centre of excellence for the sponsorship industry, but also many of you commented that the strength of the Euro against the pound made good commercial sense for Future Sponsorship 09 to be in London and the move from Brussels has enabled us to programme two full days in the heart of London with a saving of over €250 on last year’s delegate rate!

The luxury May Fair Hotel will be a fantastic host venue, being within easy reach of international airports, road and rail links. The hotel has recently undergone a multi-million pound refurbishment programme and now provides state-of-the-art conferencing facilities, fantastic hospitality and great service. Please take a look at the hotel’s new website at www.TheMayFairHotel.co.uk to see the quality of the facilities.

Sponsorship has been under the media spotlight in 2009 and there is no shortage of topics to debate. Industry luminaries will give a mixture of keynote presentations and lively panel debates about the issues of real importance to our industry. Just some of the topics we will be focusing on include:

• Swimming Naked – Was the sponsorship industry caught with its pants down in the credit crunch?
• A Sponsorship Hangover Cure – What to do to ease the headache of the financial crisis?
• Banned and Brand – How sponsors should manage the use of drugs in sport and entertainment
• Rent a Rock Star – What is the future relationship of music and brands?
• Life After Lahore – How has the tragic events of the La Hoare bombing changed sponsorship?
• A Brands Eye View – Will brand spending on sponsorship increase in the months to come?
• Does the Cap Fit? – Will budget capping by governing bodies and rights holders benefit sponsors?
• Cool Brands – And the role of sponsorship
• Rebranding – How to design the best sponsored event
• Sponsorship and Social Change – Are sponsorship campaigns being maximised as a force for good?
• The Sponsorship Buzz – How to use social media to amplify sponsorship assets

To help guide us through these discussions we have recruited internationally renowned speakers from sponsor organisations and rights holders including:
• AEG
• Castrol
• Diageo
• HSBC
• IMG
• International Cricket Council
• McLaren Mercedes
• Nokia
• Peace and Sport
• PriceWaterHouseCoopers
• PUMA
• UEFA
• Unicef
• Universal
• WCRS
• O2 Telefonica
• Redmandarin

To add a touch of personal opinion to the discussions we will also be joined by some special guests including:

• Darren Gough, Former England Cricketer
• Pete Tong, Internationally renowned DJ
• Graham Poll, Former FIFA, UEFA & Premier League Referee

We know that training and development budgets are tighter than ever before and hence we are delighted to announce that a full two day delegate pass including access to all presentations and networking sessions at Future Sponsorship, plus entry to the ESA Awards Night on Wednesday 25 November starts at just £795 + VAT (€938). That’s less than the price of most one-day conferences and a saving of €250 on last year’s best price!

Delegates tell us how important the evening networking events are so we are able to offer a package price to all past delegates that includes hotel accommodation on Wednesday 25 and breakfast at the luxury May Fair Hotel, one of London’s most chic hotels, for a total of £975 + VAT (€1,150).
