Fulham FC has appointed IMG to work with the Club in marketing its team sponsorship, new venue naming rights and co-sponsorships.

Fulham has become an established FA Premier League club in its first season in the Premiership, and planning permission for a 30,000 seat Stadium has moved significantly closer to realisation following a High Court dismissal of action by an opposition group. The aim is for this stadium to be in operation at the start of season 2003/04 on the site of the current ground.

Mark Collins, Acting MD of Fulham FC commented, ‘ IMG is the major world power in sports rights and sponsorship. The company is, therefore, a perfect appointment for a club of Fulham’s standing and aspirations. IMG shares our vision for the future and we are looking forward to working with them.’

Juliet Slot, Sales and Marketing Director, Fulham FC, adds ‘The Club has a very clear understanding of where we feel we should be in the coming years and it is essential that we source the right type of commercial partners to help us achieve our objectives.’

Jonathan Hill, Head of IMG Football, Europe, says, ‘IMG Football has been keen for some time to develop a commercial relationship with a London-based Premiership side. Fulham’s truly independent commercial status, combined with the dynamic vision of both the Chairman and the coach Jean Tigana, makes the club an ideal client for IMG to partner in the increasingly complicated and competitive commercial world of football.’
