In the frame of its involvement in university sport and in the dissemination of information relating to its activities, the FISU is currently recruiting a Media & Communications Director (m/w).

Mission
S/he will be responsible for communication tools, public relations as well as media management in the FISU. S/he will be considered as the intermediary with external
Medias as well as the spokesperson under the authority of the FISU Executive Committee and its Secretary General/CEO.

Job description
– provide the International University Sports Federation, its member associations and its organisers, with the best possible communication tools and support in the FISU
activity.
– direct the internal and external communications and public/press relations for FISU in line with the overall media relation and communication plan.
– oversee the design services and set strategic communication direction.
– manage the public relations, advertising, creative editorial and design services, website, magazine, FISU Web TV and internal communication.
– provide strategic leadership and communication planning for FISU media relations.
– guide and direct the public relations and communications for FISU and create effective ways to promote FISU and its activities.
– manage FISU s day-to-day news and media relations functions, including workflow and management of all projects related to FISU communication and media
relations.
– build up and cultivate relations to international organisations of sports media.

Requirements
– Bachelor s/Master s degree, preferably in journalism or communications;
– Minimum 10 years of experience working in a public relations and/or journalistic environment;
– Experience in multicultural events (world level);
– Fluency in English and French;
– Professional knowledge in writing, editing and proofing skills;
– Computer literacy in Office Word/Excel/PowerPoint, FileMaker, Microsoft Project and Photoshop.
