Altogether 3.2 million tickets for 64 matches, four categories and prices ranging from EUR 35 to EUR 600 – these are the salient points regarding ticket sales for the 2006 FIFA World Cup Germany(tm).

The prices and categories elaborated by the Ticketing Sub-Committee set up jointly by FIFA and the German Local Organising Committee were today approved by the FIFA Executive Committee under the chairmanship of FIFA
President Joseph S. Blatter.

For the group stage, tickets between EUR 35 (the cheapest category 4) and EUR 100 (category 1) will go on sale. Tickets for the last sixteen will range from EUR 45 (category 4) to EUR 120 (category 1) and for the
quarter-finals from EUR 55 (category 4) to EUR 180 (category 1). As for the two semi-finals, tickets will cost between EUR 90 and EUR 400. The cheapest tickets for the final in Berlin on 9 July 2006 will cost EUR 120 whereas
category 1 tickets will be available for EUR 600. Prices for the opening match in Munich on 9 June will vary between EUR 65 (category 4) and EUR 300 (category 1). An overview of the whole range of prices is shown on the next page.

David Will, chairman of the Ticketing Sub-Committee, expressed his pleasure with the outcome of his committee’s work: ‘Together with the German Local Organising Committee, we managed to set up a category and price range which
takes account of the importance of the FIFA World Cup(tm) but at the same
time caters for the needs of fans in Germany and everywhere else.’

‘A FIFA World Cup(tm) offers an extraordinary atmosphere, aura, luxury and amenities, and these elements are reflected in the ticket prices,’ added Will. ‘We made sure that, with category 4, the World Cup will also be accessible to the fans.’

The prices quoted are final prices, including handling charges, taxes and even fares for local public transport on match days. A charge for spectator insurance is also included. The only extras will be costs for post and
packaging.

The German Local Organising Committee will be solely responsible for tickets sales, which are scheduled to start early in 2005. Further details will be given in due course on the official website www.fifaworldcup.com and through the media. At present, no ticket reservations or orders can be made.
