‘The idea of having an All Star game was first suggested during the General Assembly of clubs in July 2003,’ said FIBA Europe Executive Director Nar Zanolin. ‘Thanks to the co-operation with BC Kyiv, that idea is now a reality. This will be the first time that we have had an All Star game for a specific competition and we are excited about it. All of the clubs in the FIBA Europe League were very much in favour of the idea, and with everybody’s co-operation we think it will be a successful event.’
