FAST TRACK SOCCER, the football consultancy division of sports marketing specialist FAST TRACK, has picked up a major piece of business from FIFA presidential candidate Issa Hayatou.

The nine-month old division has been handed a key strategic role in Hayatou’s bid to become president of FIFA, the governing body of world football. Fast Track Soccer will use its extensive experience of the sport to advise the campaign team on all PR matters and ensure an effective communication strategy with the English-speaking media.

Fast Track Soccer is fronted by Glen Kirton, formerly tournament director of the hugely successful Euro ’96 football championship in England.

Kirton said: ‘An election for the presidency of the governing body of the world’s greatest game is hugely exciting. We believe that Issa Hayatou has everything to offer the world of football in a difficult time and has a great chance of succeeding. We are honoured to be invited to assist in this fascinating democratic process.’

Issa Hayatou, from Cameroon, is currently president of the Confederation of African Football. All of FIFA’s 204 member nations will cast their votes in the presidential election in Seoul, South Korea on the 29th May.
