No rest for Eurosportnews after the success of its 24 hour Olympic Games coverage. The channel dives straight into the launch of the Turkish language version, the very same day that the Games came to a close. On Sunday 1st October 2000, only one month after the official launch of Eurosportnews, the sports information channel has launched its second national language version.

Eurosportnews is broadcast 24 hours a day in Turkey and the ‘Turkish Version’ can be received every day between 18 :00 to 20 :00 (Turkish time). The channel is broadcast by Digiturk via satelite, to over 100,000 households. The English version has been available since the channel’s official launch on the 1st September.

Just over one month old and already Eurosportnews is broadcast in 14 different countries, received in over 2 million homes in Europe and is now available in 3 different languages : English, Polish (launched on 15/09/2000) and of course Turkish. More language versions to come including Spanish, German, Italian and Russian.
