Eurosport launches its modernized on-air look Monday 15th January 2001. Initiated, developed, and controlled by Starteam, Eurosport’s in-house production team, and created by english&pocket, the new look will also be accompanied by a redesigned scheduling structure and logo.

The totally new graphics respond to the new programming strategy and Eurosport’s brand personality evolution. These changes are the result of a one-year, indepth study of the sports channel. The key objectives can be summarised around the following points:

  • To modernize the on-screen presence of Eurosport and its programmes
  • To humanize the channel by creating a closer proximity with viewers and athletes
  • Eurosport’s new on-air look is a clear response to its multimedia strategy. It will allow optimal synergies among the three brands: Eurosport, Eurosportnews, and www.eurosport.com. Eurosport’s continually evolving needs in terms of innovation can now be accommodated in a carefully designed graphic format that offers continuity and fluidity to the viewer.

Eurosport is the number one Pan-European channel, broadcasting to 92 million households in 54 countries and in 17 languages. It is also the number one channel for audiences, reaching over 18 million households per day.
