The interesting and challenging position as General Secretary of the European Badminton Union will become available from 1 January 2003.
The European Badminton Union (EBU) is one of IBF’s five Continental Confederations, and is the umbrella organisation of Badminton Associations in 47 European countries.
The ideal candidate for this position will hold a degree and/or have considerable experience in sports administration from previous employment or as an amateur administrator. It would be an asset if the experience comprises badminton administration and covers several administrative functional areas.
The candidate will be fluent in both written and spoken English, and will have knowledge of other major European languages. Familiarity with word processing, presentation and spreadsheet applications is required.
Success in this position requires initiative, independence, integrity and ability to establish personal relationships.
The successful candidate would be based at the EBU’s new premises in the House of Sports (Idrættens Hus) in Brøndby, near Copenhagen, Denmark.
