BARCELONA – 28  July 2006 – Euroleague Basketball have closed a deal with Comtec, specialists in organising sporting events, wherein the aforementioned agency will collaborate with and offer their consulting services to Euroleague Basketball in the production and execution of official events.

After confirming the growing interest witnessed at the various events organised by Euroleague Basketball in the past few years, the organising body have decided to reinforce their commitment to high quality production by way of this agreement signed with Comtec.  The agency, Directed by Mr. Daniel Benaim, have vast experience in organising sporting events at the international level.

The Final Four is the flagship event that Euroleague Basketball organise, held every year in a different European city, and which will be held in Athens this coming season on May 4th to the 6th.  The Euroleague Opening Game, the ULEB Cup Final and the draws for both competitions are just a few of the other events that Euroleague Basketball also hold during the year.

The Final Four, which was held in Prague last season with great success, brings together thousands of fans, hundreds of journalists and a great number of representatives from the competition’s sponsors.  For this reason, Jordi Bertomeu, Euroleague Basketball CEO, wanted to emphasise that the agreement with Comtec “must allow us to improve even more at a global level each of our events and, furthermore, highlight those small details that make the Final Four a memorable event for all those who participate in this great European basketball festival.”  Bertomeu added that “we have counted upon the Final Four as the defining element of our competition and we believe that Comtec’s experience will be invaluable to us to guarantee that the advances we have made each year continue with each successive Final Four.”
