Dentsu Inc. (President: Tateo Mataki; Head Office: Tokyo, Japan; Capital: 58,967.1 million yen) announced today that it had reached an agreement with the International Baseball Federation, IBAF, (Established in 1938, Headquarters: Lausanne, Switzerland, President: Aldo Notari) the world governing body for Baseball, giving it exclusive worldwide marketing agent contract from 2006 through 2013.
According to the agreement, Dentsu and IBAF will jointly develop new marketing strategies and programs for all IBAF Championships including the 38, 39 and 40th IBAF World Cups in 2009, 2011 and 2013.
Dentsu will exclusively promote global marketing activities for the sponsorship and broadcasting rights to these events. Dentsu, as IBAF partner, aims to take full advantage of its experience and expertise in sports marketing to further popularize Baseball competitions around the world.
