deltatre Media, the London-based sports media services company is opening a regional office in Salford Quays as part of the company’s ongoing expansion. From its base at MediaCityUK, deltatre Media North will provide a full range of operational, technology, production and consulting services to the broadcast and sports industry in UK regions.

The creation of deltatre Media North has been led by Hugo Sharman, an experienced sports and digital media professional who for more than ten years has worked with leading sports sponsors and governing bodies.

Sharman, who has lived in the North West for 8 years, joined deltatre in July 2010 from Fast Web Media where he was Commercial Director.

Speaking about the move he said “It was very important for deltatre to establish not just an office, but a solid operational base in MediaCityUK from where we are able to service our clients. The North West has a very strong digital and broadcast economy and deltatre are looking forward to helping this grow.”

deltatre currently provides a range of data, graphics and digital media services to BBC Sport, and has provided services to BBC Sports football programming since 2004.

deltatre media was formed in 2002 and currently employs over 50 staff in London. deltatre is part of deltatre spa, based on Turin, Italy which celebrated its 25th anniversary in January this year. The group employs over 320 people in Italy, U.K, France and the U.S.
