Leading entertainment, sports and brand licensing agency Copyright Promotions Licensing Group (CPLG) announced today that Chris Protheroe has been promoted to Director of Sport and appointed to CPLG’s Board of Directors with immediate effect. Chris Protheroe is promoted from his former position of Head of Football Worldwide.

Chris joined CPLG in July 1999. During his time with the company, he has held the role of Head of Sport for Europe, where he successfully managed the licensing programme for EURO 2000. As Head of Football Worldwide, he has been responsible for all global football licensing projects, including 2002 FIFA World Cup. Before joining CPLG, Chris was Deputy Managing Director for Sony Signatures (Europe) Ltd. during which time he managed the European licensing programme for 1998 FIFA World Cup.

Making the announcement, Kirk Bloomgarden, CPLG’s Chief Executive, said:

Since joining the company Chris has successfully overseen our EURO 2000TM licensing programme and is now spearheading our 2002 FIFA World Cup TM campaign.
