Uppsala BGK from Sweden and 1.MGC Mainz from Germany win the EMF European Cup Minigolf Championships for National Club Champion Teams in Holešov, Czech Republic.
Nineteen teams from ten countries recently competed in the EMF European Cup Minigolf tournament for national club champions held at the 18-hole Miniaturegolf course at MGC Holešov in Holešov, Czech Republic. The three-day competition saw Uppsala BGK from Sweden retain their title as the EMF European Cup men’s champions, with 1.MGC Mainz from Germany victorious in the EMF European Cup women’s championship.
The three-day, nine-round, 162-hole tournament was held on the between the 3rd and 5th of October. 107 players competed in the event with eleven teams in the men’s event and eight in the women’s competition.
Tournament organiser Martin Tomanek said “The tournament was organized on a Miniaturegolf course located in a former open-air cinema in the town’s centre. Conditions were challenging for both players and organisers and despite chilling temperatures in the mornings with ice having to be removed from several lanes and obstacles, the results of some players were excellent. Congratulations to all of the winners and thank you to all competitors for taking part.”
The best male player, Carl-Johan Ryner from Uppsala BGK, scored 179 shots in nine rounds, an average of 19.9 per round.
The best female player, Jana Nakládalová from Brno, scored 191 shots in nine rounds for an average of 21.2.
The best female team 1.MGC Mainz had an average of 22.8 and the best male team Uppsala BGK an average of 21.1 shots.

1 – Uppsala BGK (Sweden)
2 – BGS Hardenberg-Pötter (Germany)

Teams from Sweden, Germany, Czech Republic, Switzerland, Italy, Finland, Austria, Netherlands, Slovakia and Portugal competed in the event.
