Soccerex are delighted to announce that Tom Bender, Chief Marketing Officer of the DFL, and Dr. Robert Niemann, Chief Executive Officer of DFL Sports Enterprises, will be presenting at this year’s event.

Germany’s Bundesliga continues to be the most profitable league in Europe. In 2008, the league accrued 43% of its revenue from commercial streams, including sponsorship. Contrary to other leagues among the “big five” European leagues, the Bundesliga does not generate the largest share of its revenue from broadcasting deals.

Late last year the DFL set up DFL Sports Enterprises, a subsidiary responsible for marketing and selling the media rights for the Bundesliga. This month alone, DFL Sports Enterprises have completed deals with three broadcasters, including ESPN, to show Bundesliga games in Brazil for the next three seasons.

This presentation will inform Soccerex 09 delegates about the development of this new revenue stream and the continuing financial strength of the Bundesliga.
