Bravo, the UK’s leading men’s entertainment channel, has signed a programming deal with Las Vegas based sports group, Zuffa LLC, to bring Ultimate Fighting Championship® events to UK television. The deal gives Bravo 18 hours of mixed martial arts programming to be taken from recent UFC® pay per view events, bringing the world’s top mixed martial arts sports events to the fans in the UK.

‘UFC is a great addition to our sporting stable.’ said David Clarke, Bravo Channel Editor. ‘Featuring fighters at the top of their game in a raw and adrenalin fuelled environment, the UFC will appeal to large numbers of Bravo viewers, and our young male target audience as a whole.’

Commencing on 28th August, the Ultimate Fighting Championship brand brings together some of the finest athletes from a range of disciplines including karate, jiu-jitsu, kickboxing, wrestling and boxing. Bravo will take a collection of the most recent UFC events, UFC 39 – 47, and create 18 hours worth of unique programming from them. Featuring the likes of Ken Shamrock, Tito Ortiz, Chuck Liddell, Vitor Belfort, Frank Mir, and Randy Couture, it is a dream come true for the thousands of UK MMA fans, who have eagerly been waiting this day. As well as spreading the word of it’s offering, UFC will also be granted a key presence in the UK’s highly competitive sports programming market.

Dana White, President of the Ultimate Fighting Championship, said today that, ‘UFC fans around the world have been demanding more and more UFC programming. Fans in the UK have a great appreciation for the sport of mixed martial arts, and we are thrilled that Bravo is going to give the fans what they have been asking for.’
