INDIANAPOLIS, Tuesday, March 21, 2000 – Jimmy Kite was entered March 17 into the 84th Indianapolis 500 by Blueprint Racing Enterprises, LLC. Kite, from Stockbridge, Ga., will drive the #27 Founders Bank Group-ZMax-Blueprint Racing Special G Force/Oldsmobile/Firestone. Practice starts May 13 for the Greatest Spectacle in Racing, with Pole Day May 20 and Race Day May 28. Blueprint Racing Enterprises also entered a G Force/Oldsmobile/Firestone backup machine for Kite, who will attempt to make his third consecutive Indianapolis start. Randy Ruyle is chief mechanic, and Brad McCanless is team manager. Kite is Blueprint’s full-time driver in the Indy Racing Northern Light Series. Kite, 24, finished 11th in his first start at Indy in 1998, running at the finish.
