FIFA President Joseph S. Blatter today Sunday rejected as unjustified and false the serious allegations levelled against him by General Secretary Michel Zen-Ruffinen during last week in various Swiss newspapers. ‘I am surprised that, after four years of cooperation, it is only now during the election campaign that the General Secretary is confronting me in public with such allegations’, Blatter declared after his return from the CONCACAF Congress in Miami.

The President will decide on the further procedure after an internal meeting with the General Secretary.

Coming Wednesday, the FIFA President will be travelling to Stockholm to attend the UEFA Congress. Beforehand, he will meet David Will, the Chairman of the Ad hoc Internal Audit Committee (IAC), in Zurich to discuss how the work of the IAC is to be continued.
