Already 21,000 tickets sold after the first week

On Thursday, 15th June, the day-tickets presale for the BDO hockey world championship men, that takes place from 6th until 17 September in Mönchengladbach (Germany), has started succesfully.  The first sales figures are sensational for the hockey sport.  Already 21,000 tickets were sold – and that during that all predominant soccer World Cup.

Especially for the Final on Sunday September 17th there is a great demand.  At this moment there  aren’t any places left in the category 1 (TerraTec-stand and AirBerlin-stand) just as for the Weekend-Package (Kombi-ticket). „We hope that we can bring in tickets from this category into sale again from the beginning of August, if units out of the reservations for sponsors and the interested national associations are returned“, so says Torsten Bartel, DHB board of directors communication & marketing.  Everyone who would not like to wait on that, still has the chance to buy tickets for the final in the category 2 (behind the goals) or can secure themselves a category 1 ticket for the final through buying an overall ticket for the tournament. „To meet the great demand after weekend-tickets, we now also offer a package for the Final-weekend 16./17. September in the category 2“, reports Thorsten Stanko, Head of Development & operations of the division of sport of the DHB-Ticketing-partner Ticket Online. Of great importance too, as expected, is the preliminary game Germany against the Netherlands on Saturday 9 September. For this match 3,500 tickets were already sold in the first week.
