ATP International Headquarters –The ATP introduced two new television advertisements during broadcasts of the Pacific Life Open in Indian Wells, CA with an updated print campaign to premiere in USA Today on Tuesday, March 12, before roll outs in Europe and Asia.

‘We’ve got a great product and these ads highlight it extremely well,’ said Matt Rapp, ATP VP, Communications. ‘The TV spots are bold and dramatic in very unique ways. One is aimed at building the mystique around the season finale, the Tennis Masters Cup, and the other is light and playful as it highlights the incredible athleticism and spirit of our new crop of champions. The print campaign highlights the fact that the hunters are now the hunted.’

The first TV spot features an epic theme in promoting the Tennis Masters Cup Shanghai 2002, the season-ending finale to the men’s professional tennis circuit, to be held November 12-17, 2002 at the New International Expo Centre in Shanghai, China.

The second is a player promotional spot featuring ‘The New Establishment’ of young new stars in men’s tennis. With video and sound clips that highlight the driving, emotional element of tennis, ‘The New Establishment’ video catches the ear as well as the eye.

Both TV spots were produced by Digital Video Arts Productions, an Emmy Award-winning, Jacksonville, FL-based production agency, which serves as the video production provider for the ATP. In addition to work for the ATP, DVA sports productions have aired on ESPN, CBS, ABC, ESPN International and HBO.

Said Clark Fivek, President of Digital Video Arts Productions, ‘Everyone at Digital Video Arts Productions is thrilled about working with the ATP. We feel that their aggressive, cutting edge desire to promote men’s professional tennis is a perfect fit for our company’s creative style. DVA editors and producers have logged more hours working on tennis specials, image spots and industrial videos than any other production company in the United States and we believe our passion for the game is evident in our work.’

The print materials were created by the ATP’s in-house design team based on a concept developed by Marsteller Advertising in London.

In a recently-introduced Interactive section on ATPtennis.com, both TV spots and ‘The New Establishment’ promotional materials are available for downloading. Log on to ATPtennis.com to find the ‘best tennis on the ‘net.’
