The 5th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games Executive Committee is proud to announce that Coca-Coca Turkmenistan and LGI are the first international official supporters of Ashgabat 2017.

LG International Corp., or LGI, has been part of the driving force behind leading South Korea’s trade and economic development, ever since its establishment in 1953. LGI has continuously dedicated its commitment to honour sport and fans around the world. Not only does LG Group own one of the most popular franchises in Korea – LG Twins Baseball Club and LG Sakers Basketball Club, it had previously sponsored the Bundesliga football club Bayer 04 Leverkusen. Boca Juniors (Argentina) and Fulham FC (English Premier League) are other examples of LG’s successful involvement with sport sponsorship.

Coca-Cola Turkmenistan is a long-term investor in Turkmenistan since 1998. The company operates a beverage plant in Ashgabat where it creates direct and indirect employment for about 750 people. Under the support agreement, the company will provide a variety of beverages, including water (Bonaqua), carbonated soft drinks (Coca-Cola, Fanta, Sprite) and sports drinks (Powerade) to athletes, team leaders and Ashgabat 2017 staff and volunteers during the period of the Games. The company will also activate a fan zone for spectators and guests of the Games within the Ashgabat Olympic Complex.

The Ashgabat 2017 5th Asian Indoor & Martial Arts Games is the fifth edition of the Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games, and will take place in Turkmenistan from 17–27 September 2017.

There will be 21 sports at Ashgabat 2017 across 15 venues over 12 days of competition. The 21 sports are 3×3 Basketball, Belt Wrestling, Billiard Sports, Bowling, Chess, DanceSport, Equestrian Jumping, Futsal, Indoor Athletics, Indoor Tennis, Ju-Jitsu, Kickboxing, Kurash, Muay, Sambo, Short Course Swimming, Taekwondo, Track Cycling Traditional Wrestling, Weightlifting and Wrestling.

Ashgabat was awarded the Games by the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) in 2010. The 5th AIMAG Executive Committee will organise and run the Games in cooperation with the OCA.
