Monaco, July 3rd, 2007 – From the Crans Montana Forum, which came to a conclusion yesterday in Monaco, “Peace and Sport” announced the signature of a new strategic partnership agreement with Aegis Media, the world’s fastest growing marketing communications group.
The announcement was made while “Peace and Sport”, an ambitious international organisation based in Monaco and launched under the High Patronage of HSH Prince Albert II in May 2007, is about to implement its first area-based grassroots development projects. Such initiatives aim to tangibly contribute to world peace, through the diffusion and promotion of sports values and practice.
Aegis Media will assist the Organisation at the operational, logistical, media and marketing levels and will facilitate contacts with potential partners. Its expertise brings a significant support to “Peace and Sport” in the accomplishment of its different tasks and missions:
Joel Bouzou, President of “Peace and Sport” said: “Thanks to the commitment of partners like Aegis Media, our organisation benefits from a structured, solid and powerful action platform. Their involvement is a cornerstone in the achievement of our Local-Based Projects, to which they will be closely and permanently associated”.
“During the Crans Montana Forum, which brings together public and private decision-makers, we were delighted to realize how much people widely and spontaneously support the idea of serving peace through sport. However, without a tangible commitment from our partners, this objective would remain only words. Today we are ready for action, only two months after the official launch of our organisation”, Joel Bouzou added.
Georges Vanderchmitt, President of Carat Sport and representative from the Aegis Media Group, highlighted the fact that the partnership with “Peace and Sport” is a natural extension of the Group’s international activities: “Through its expertise and experience in sports marketing and sponsoring, Aegis Media is a major player in the international sports world. In this context it is both consistent and legitimate for us to bring our unqualified support to “Peace and Sport”, which aims to put sport at the very heart of conflict prevention and resolution policies throughout the world. This noble cause, which goes far beyond all divides and differences, could not leave us cold.”
