County cricket’s Twenty20 Cup competition starts its second year on Friday 2 July with advance ticket sales reaching unprecedented levels. Over 110,000 tickets have been sold for the 45 group games.

Two counties have already sold out games in advance. Surrey has sold out a 6,000 capacity Brit Oval for its clash with Kent on Friday 9 July, while Worcestershire’s opening game against Gloucestershire on Friday is also already a sell-out. Essex, meanwhile, has closed advance ticket sales for its home game against Hampshire on Friday leaving just 500 tickets for sale on the gate on the day.

Lord’s has pre-sold the highest number of tickets for a match – 14,700 for the London derby clash between Middlesex and Surrey on Thursday 15 July.

Nine games will be played on the opening day on Friday. Finals day takes place at Edgbaston on Saturday 7 August.
