Milan, 12 november 2003 – AcMilan.com, the official Internet website of AC Milan, produced by Milan Channel and MP Web (club channel and the new-media company of the Media Partners Group), launches its Japanese version.

AC Milan fame in Japan is confirmed by the exceptional data of the official website viewers on average: 60.000 online fans, untill now visiting the English version, with 600.000 page views per month.

One month before the Intercontinental Cup is scheduled in Yokohama on 14th December 2003 between AC Milan and Boca Juniors, Japan has discovered a true passion for the rossoneri with AC Milan, the first Italian soccer team to recreate its website in Japanese.

The official website of AC Milan will offer in Japanese all the sections, now available in Italian and English, as news and multimedia: it will be possible to follow in real time from Japan the team thanks to updated news in real time by correspondents from Milanello, chat, statistics and constant information on players and the team, all in Japanese.

There are 62 million fans who follow football on television, look for their favourite sport on Internet: over 40% of Japanese use the Internet daily and by 2005 there will be almost 80 million users, the 3/5 of the population.
