Brazil, host country of the 2019 Summer Universiade (Brasilia), is about to host another FISU single sport event in 2014, its third this year.

Indeed, from 18 to 21 September, the city of Salvador, Bahia, will be the battleground for the 2nd edition of the World University 3×3 Basketball Championship. Student-athletes from 12 countries (Brazil, China, Slovenia, Israel, Japan, Nepal, Russia, France, Uganda, Italy, Serbia and Romania) are confirmed to take part in the men’s and women’s tournament. The matches will take place at the Gymnasium “Parque Jardim dos Namorados”, located on Av. Otávio Mangabeira, Pituba, in Salvador.

The inaugural edition of this WUC was held two years ago, in Kragujevac, Serbia.
