Lausanne, Switzerland – February 20th, 2018 – The 5th edition of the Smart Cities and Sport Summit will be back in Lausanne, the Olympic Capital on October 29-31, 2018. Early-bird registration will open on April 3, 2018.

Smart Cities and Sport has created an outstanding programme, focused on innovation in the sport industry. Among the various topics, participants will hear how they can drive innovation in their city more effectively, how to support the next generation of sport start-ups or crack big data to grow sport. The detailed programme, including the session topics and speakers, will be revealed shortly.

In 2018, the Smart Cities and Sport Summit will feature a brand-new format in order to foster interaction among participants and enhance the engagement throughout the conference. Cities will have the opportunity to attend a variety of newly formatted sessions including: masterclasses, debates, live open forum and much more.

As this year’s Summit will be hosted in the Olympic Capital, Lausanne home of more than 55 International Sports Organisations, this is a unique chance develop the interactions between cities and International Sports Federations. Two sessions will be dedicated to linking cities with these International Sports Organisations: the ‘Market Place’; a two-hour session where cities can meet with top sports leaders and the “IF Panel” where cities will be able to ask their question directly to sports leaders.
