Volleyball World, the commercial body managing global volleyball rights, has expanded its tie-up with Sponsor, a Thailand-based energy drinks brand.
Through a deal announced today (July 3), the two parties have expanded their collaboration into a regional sponsorship deal covering Southeast Asia as a whole for this year.
The overall deal between Sponsor, owned by the TCP Group FMCG heavyweight, and Volleyball World is now entering its third year, and has already seen the energy drinks brand serve as title sponsor for the 2024 Women's Volleyball Nations League (VNL) Finals – which took place in Thailand.
This year, the partnership will stretch across "select stages of the 2025 VNL across Southeast Asia," as well as across the upcoming Women's Volleyball World Championship, which this year will take place in Thailand (between August 22 and September 7) for the first time in the event's history.
The pair have said the deal will entail a multi-channel marketing campaign, fan engagement opportunities, and exclusive merchandise.
Oliver Clarke, Volleyball World's head of sponsorship, has commented: "The engagement and passion from supporters in Thailand during the VNL over the past two years has been remarkable, and with Sponsor's continued support, we are confident that we can continue to build on this, developing different ways to engage both new and existing fans.”
