
The organizers of German's men's soccer's top-tier Bundesliga have struck a three-season coverage deal in Vietnam with the state-owned media and telecoms heavyweight Viettel.
Through a tie-up unveiled today – August 12 – the TV360 over-the-top platform run by Viettel will exclusively cover all Bundesliga games – all nine per matchday – up until the end of 2027-28.
The deal has been announced with the 2025-26 Bundesliga campaign kicking off on August 22 (next Friday), as champions Bayern Munich takes on RB Leipzig.
In addition to the Bundesliga, Viettel will also show the season-opening German Supercup fixture – between Bayern and VfB Stuttgart – on August 16, while the heavyweight will also "spearhead Bundesliga fan engagement fan engagement activities in Vietnam."
For the last two years, Bundesliga distribution rights in Vietnam have been held by the Next Media group – indeed, that deal was originally signed to run through 2027-28.
The soccer video and editorial site OneFootball also offered live coverage of Bundesliga action (as well as highlights and supplementary programming) last season in Vietnam (as well as in several other international markets).

By GlobalDataIn terms of overall ties between German league soccer's DFL and Vietnam, a memorandum of understanding was struck between the DFL and the Vietnamese Football Federation in February, while Bundesliga side Werder Bremen played a game in May against the Vietnam national side, in the Vietnamese city of Hanoi.
Peer Naubert, Bundesliga International's chief executive, has said: "This partnership with Viettel marks an exciting new chapter in our mission to bring the Bundesliga’s world-renowned football experience to fans around the globe."
Over the last few weeks, Bundesliga rights for the next few seasons have been snapped up by subscription streaming service DAZN in Japan, and also by pay-TV heayvweight Sky Italia.
Domestically, the league will be covered live by Sky Deutschland and DAZN.
Ms. Nguyễn Hà Thành, deputy general director of Viettel Telecom Corporation, added: "We are proud to bring the Bundesliga – one of the world’s most prestigious football leagues – to Vietnamese fans through TV360 … This partnership reflects our commitment to delivering world-class football experiences and creating new opportunities for Vietnamese talents to connect with top clubs in Germany."
The agreement between Viettel and the Bundesliga will also see two players and a coach taken from the Viettel FC soccer team in Vietnam (operated by that broadcaster), and sent to train at "a top club in Germany" each season.
