The UFC fixed martial arts (MMA) promotion has renewed its broadcast partnership in the Chinese region with OTT service Migu in a multi-year deal running through 2031

Through this new agreement, Migu will once again broadcast all live UFC events each year, including the 13 annual top-line ‘numbered events’, 30 secondary ‘Fight Night’ events, the crossover reality show The Ultimate Fighter, and Dana White’s Contender Series.

These will be available through the official UFC Fan Club content section on the Migu app, which will also host shoulder programming and ancillary content such as UFC Countdown and UFC Connect, and the Asia-specific Road to UFC tournament.

This covers both mainland China and the special administrative regions of Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan.

With Migu’s aid, this region has become of particular importance to UFC, which in the past has staged eight events in the region, including four in Macau, two in Shanghai, one in Beijing, and one in Shenzhen.

Across the duration of the deal, Migu will serve as the exclusive co-organizer of UFC events in mainland China, including a UFC Fight Night in Shanghai (August 29), but will not extend that to events in the special administrative regions, including the upcoming  May 30 UFC Fight Night 277 at Macau’s Galaxy Arena.

UFC claims a fanbase of 188 million in China, with followers of over 17 million on social media platforms such as Douyin, Weibo, WeChat, Kuaishou, RedNote, and Bilibili, a figure the promotion says has grown 70% since Migu first picked up UFC rights in 2021.

Speaking on the renewed agreement, UFC senior vice president and head of Asia Kevin Chang said: “Our partnership with Migu has been the cornerstone of growth that’s led to UFC’s emergence as a mainstream sport in China. As we look ahead, we are excited to expand our partnership into new areas.”

Migu vice president Xu Jie added: “With Migu's expertise in 5G+, 3D immersive video, and AI technology, we're ready to take the viewing experience to the next level. As the exclusive co-organizer of UFC events in mainland China, we'll work hand-in-hand with UFC to bring Chinese sports fans premium content and a more immersive way to experience the event."

In all, the UFC roster currently boasts as many as 17 fighters, including #1 ranked women’s strawweight (and former two-time champion) Xhang Weili, #4 ranked women’s strawweight Yan Xioaonan, rising women’s flyweight star #11 ranked Wang Cong, #5 ranked men’s bantamweight contender Song Yadong, and #15 ranked light heavyweight Zhang Mingyang.

In terms of upcoming bouts of particular interest, flyweight Su Mudaerji and bantamweight Xiao Long will both compete at UFC 326, which will take place at T-Mobile Arena in Nevada, US, on March 7.

This is the second major MMA rights agreement Migu has struck thus far in 2026, after agreeing on a broadcast deal with promotion PFL back in February.

That agreement covers 24 PFL live events, including the 16 global live events this year and eight regional ones from the Middle East and Africa, alongside archive and ancillary programming, and began with the PFL Road to Dubai event on Saturday (February 7).
