Triller, the technology platform, has acquired US boxing promotion Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC).

The move is part of Triller's plans to expand its boxing entertainment promotion Triller Fight Club (TFC).

TFC and BKFC, which was launched in 2018 as a platform to host combat sports events, will collaborate to enhance the experience it delivers to creators, brands, and athletes.

This complements Triller’s acquisition of Fite TV last year, with the international streaming platform having held BKFC on its platform since its inception.

Ryan Kavanaugh, director and co-founder at Triller, said: “Our goal has been to continue to bring the younger generation and combat sports viewership together, something that has been diverging up until our involvement, and BKFC does just that.”

Dave Feldman, chief executive and founder at BKFC, added: “We feel that by combining with Triller and bringing BKFC into the Trillerverz we can supercharge the growth even further than we have, and quickly bring BKFC further into the mainstream.
