The deal was struck with Spanish soccer's RFEF governing body ahead of the 2026 Supercopa, which gets underway on Wednesday (January 7).

The competition was not shown in the UK last year, with no broadcaster picking up the rights in the market.

TNT Sports, then BT Sport, previously showed the Supercopa in the 2021-22 season.

The four-team mini-tournament, once again taking place in Saudi Arabia, will see last season’s LaLiga and Copa del Rey winners Barcelona take on Athletic Club in the opening semi-final on Wednesday. Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid will face off on Thursday in the other semi-final.

All Supercopa games will be held at the King Abdullah Sports City Stadium in Jeddah. Saudi Arabia's current hosting rights deal for the mini-tournament runs through until 2029.

The Supercopa was moved to Saudi Arabia in 2020, in a deal reportedly worth more than €40 million ($46.7 million) per year.

Last season's edition was won by Barcelona, who beat Real Madrid in the final.

Rights to Spain’s top-flight LaLiga are held in the UK and Ireland by pay-TV broadcaster Premier Sports and the Disney+ streaming service.

Premier Sports also shows the Copa del Rey knockout cup competition, with an extended agreement announced last month.

The RFEF has secured several broadcast deals for the Supercopa in recent weeks, including with L'Équipe in France, Sportdigital in Germany, and streaming platform Begin in Pakistan.
